Clinical Psychologist

Tanya Donovan is a clinical psychologist committed to supporting clients in reaching their full potential by combining evidence-based psychological approaches with a comprehensive understanding of neurofunctioning. With a special focus on the connection between the brain, mind, and body, Tanya helps individuals explore how these systems interact, fostering greater self-awareness and developing skills for improved self-regulation.

Tanya draws on over two decades of experience in diverse settings, including Queensland Corrective Services, Queensland Health, and academia as a lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). She is passionate about helping clients unlock their strengths and overcome challenges, whether through trauma-informed care, targeted treatment for addictions and unhealthy habits, or personalised mental health support.

As a certified neurofeedback therapist, Tanya incorporates advanced neuroscience techniques, including QEEG assessments, to identify and address underlying psychophysiological patterns. This approach is particularly effective in supporting individuals managing ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. By combining neurofeedback with evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Tanya provides comprehensive and effective care tailored to each client's unique needs.

Tanya also specialises in peak performance training, optimising outcomes for clients in high-pressure environments, including workplaces and sports. Her approach integrates neurofeedback and therapy to enhance focus, resilience, and mental clarity, empowering clients to excel in their personal and professional lives.

With a deep commitment to empowering clients to align their mental health, brain functioning, and personal goals, Tanya offers compassionate expertise and dedicated guidance. She is passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful growth and resilience in all areas of their lives.
